Description: The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
hospital is seeking a certified professional coding specialist who will:
Read and interpret health record documentation to identify all diagnoses
and procedure that affect the current inpatient/outpatient
encounter/visit; assess the adequacy of health record documentation to
ensure that it supports all diagnoses and procedures to which codes are
assigned; apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology, clinical disease
processes, pharmacology, and diagnostic and procedural terminology to
assign accurate codes to diagnoses and procedures; apply knowledge of
disease processes and surgical procedures to assign non-indexed medical
terms to the appropriate class in the classification/nomenclature
systems; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma plus 4 years coding
experience. Must have CCS or CPC certification. Prefer RHIA or RHIT
certification as well.

seeking a medical transcriptionist. The transcriptionist functions under
the HIM Manager providing clerical and medical records services to
support patient care. Proofread and edit dictated/transcribed documents.
Transcribe medical documents from physician dictation
Qualifications: High School diploma plus 1 year of medical
transcription experience.Excellent communication skills experience both
oral and written required. Knowledge of medical terminology, prefer
certification in medical transcription.

Clinical Documentation Manager - Springdale, AR

Description:
The Clinical Documentation Coding Manager will be responsible for the
development, supervision, and education of the coding department.
Position will require extensive interaction with physicians, nursing,
and other ancillary departments. Facilitates education of physicians,
coders, and clinical departments for documentation improvement for
accurate MS-DRGs. The manager will ensure timely, accurate, and
complete documentation of the patient health record.
Qualifications:
5 years inpatient coding experience, 2years management experience
RHIA, RHIT, OR CCS.
