Melissa Zavadil, RHIT, CCS, CPMA, CRC, COC, was recently inducted as the President of ArHIMA. She is employed by Administrative Consultant Services, LLC and provides consultation for all aspects of hospital outpatient coding and clinical documentation that includes ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS compliance.

Bryce Miller, MSHI, RHIA, has been selected as the President-Elect of ArHIMA. He will also serve as the Advocacy Leader and a member of the Budget and Finance committee. Bryce is the program director for the Health Information Technology program at the University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College.

Sherry Slay, BS, RHIT, fulltime HIM faculty member for NorthWest Arkansas Community College was elected as Secretary for the second consecutive year. As a faculty member, she has been instrumental in developing statistics and data analytics courses along with her other teaching duties.

Darla Sparacino, MSHI, MEd, RHIA, will be completing the second year of her two-year term as Treasurer. She also serves as chair of the Marketing/Public Relations committee and a member of the Budget and Finance committee. Ms. Sparacino taught at Arkansas Tech University for 25 years in the health information management and health informatics programs.

Tina Cikanek, MBA, RHIA, CCS was recently inducted as First Year Director of ArHIMA. In this role, she will also be the Membership Liaison and chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. Ms. Cikanek is a ten-year veteran Health Information Management Program Director and Instructor at NorthWest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville.

Lisa Daniels, RHIT, will serve ArHIMA as Second Year Director. She also serves as the Student Liaison and a member of the Budget and Finance committee. Ms. Daniels is a Process Consultant, Professional Services for Picis.
