Be a Professional Practice Experience Site Supervisor!
Are you interested in possibly hosting a health information technology (HIT) or health information management (HIM) student for their Professional Practice Experience (PPE)?
Every year HIM and HIT programs begin the search for field-based PPE sites for students. By submitting your name, you are not committing you or your facility to hosting students. You are simply submitting your information as a potential site for the student. Of course, there are many variables to PPE assignment, and we know there are processes and policies that facilities must adhere to. Therefore, we will simply share your information with HIT/HIM Program Directors, and you can work directly with them to ascertain if this would be a good fit for you and the student. Being a PPE Site Supervisor is a great way for AHIMA credentialed professionals to add to their annual CEU requirement while fulfilling a fundamental obligation of the profession.
Consider giving back to the profession by signing up as a PPE Site Supervisor.
